The Doe vs. Buck Question

Hey guys!! I wanted to make an informational post and thought maybe this would help since I have SO MANY message me with this question. So, I figured I should make a post on this topic... The most famous question I get asked when a new bunny owner or New Client can't decide whether they want a Buck or Doe! We think Bucks are better as pets Here's Why...

> Bucks Tend to be Sweeter!

> They don't get so aggressive when older (6+ months)

> If neutered by a certain age they don't seem to give you much trouble; such as spraying or having crazy hormones.

Now, This is based off opinions we each like different rabbits! Some prefer does and some prefer bucks!

Why Does isn't suggested for Pets!!

> They get more territorial than bucks

> Spaying a Doe is way more expensive than neutering a buck, so therefor you may just be like "Oh she'll be fine". Until she gets 6+ months and she has hit her first heat cycle and comes after you. (Trust me I have 2 like this)

>Sometimes females can get rowdy! (Don't like to be held, doesn't like when you touch her, or she just wants to be left alone)

I would like to add that this might not always be the case! I have a buck that's very sweet, a buck that's not so sweet, a doe that is so wonderful and will set in my arms, & then we have the doe we call TAZ and yep you guessed it Tasmanian Devil! She is super sweet to me, however she is one of the rudest rabbits to my mom.

I hope this helps a lot of people that may be seeking to get a new bunny or getting there first bunny! Please bare with me on this blog this is my first ever and was seriously lost on what to post. But here y'all go again if you have more questions give us a call Thanks!!
