🐰 Sales Policy

 

By placing a deposit, the buyer acknowledges they have read, understood, and agreed to all policies listed below.

1️⃣ Reservations & Deposits

​

• A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a bunny.

• Deposits are applied toward the total purchase price.

• A bunny is not considered reserved until a deposit has been received.

• Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable unless Hopes Rabbitry cancels the sale.

 

If a buyer chooses to back out for any reason, the deposit will be forfeited.

 

Hopes Rabbitry reserves the right to cancel a sale at any time. If cancellation is initiated by us, all monies paid will be refunded.

2️⃣ Waitlist Policy

 

 

Hopes Rabbitry may offer a waitlist for upcoming litters.

 

• Waitlist spots may require a deposit.

• Pick order is determined by the order deposits are received unless otherwise stated.

• If a buyer passes on an available bunny, the deposit may be rolled to the next litter one time only.

• Repeatedly passing on litters may result in removal from the waitlist without refund.

 

Waitlist deposits are non-refundable.

3️⃣ Go-Home Age & Pickup Timeline

 

 

• All bunnies leave at 12 weeks of age or older. If your bunny is leaving via transport service your bunny will be held until 14-16 weeks to be sure they can handle that level of stress.

• Full payment is due before or at pickup.

• Pickup must occur within the agreed timeframe.

 

Failure to pick up within the agreed timeframe, without prior communication, may result in forfeiture of deposit and the bunny being made available to another home.

4️⃣ Pet-Only & Breeding Rights Policy

🐰 Pet-Only Homes

 

 

• Pet rabbits are sold strictly as companions.

• Pedigrees may be withheld for pet-only sales.

• Pet rabbits are not to be bred under any circumstances.

• Pet rabbits will go home with a birth certificate always.

 

Breeding a pet-only rabbit without written permission from Hopes Rabbitry voids all guarantees and future purchase eligibility.

🧬 Breeding Rights

 

 

Breeding rights are not automatically included.

 

• Breeding rights must be discussed and approved prior to sale.

• Additional fees apply for rabbits sold with breeding rights.

• Hopes Rabbitry reserves the right to deny breeding rights at our discretion.

 

We carefully select which rabbits are placed in breeding programs to protect the integrity of our lines.

5️⃣ Transport Policy

​

Hopes Rabbitry does not provide delivery or transport services.

 

Bunnies must be picked up in person or by a transport service arranged by the buyer.

 

We are willing to coordinate with reputable transporters once arrangements have been made. All transport costs and scheduling are the responsibility of the buyer.

 

We reserve the right to decline any transporter we feel does not meet appropriate safety standards.

6️⃣ Closed Rabbitry Policy

​

Hopes Rabbitry operates as a closed rabbitry.

 

To protect the health and biosecurity of our herd, we do not allow visitors or on-site access. Many rabbit illnesses and parasites can be unknowingly transmitted through clothing, shoes, or contact with other animals.

 

Pickups will take place at a pre-arranged public meeting location.

 

We appreciate your understanding as we prioritize the safety and well-being of our rabbits.

 

7️⃣ Health Guarantee 

​

All rabbits leave Hopes Rabbitry healthy and free of visible illness at the time of pickup.

 

We kindly encourage that Buyers have the rabbit examined by a licensed rabbit-savvy veterinarian within 72 hours of pickup if any health concerns arise.

 

• Failure to seek veterinary evaluation within 72 hours voids the health guarantee.

• A written veterinary report is required for any claim.

• Hopes Rabbitry must be notified immediately if concerns arise.

 

We do not guarantee against:

• Stress-related illness after pickup

• Injury after leaving our care

• Environmental changes

• Parasites contracted after pickup

• Genetic traits that may develop later in life

• Reproductive performance

• Show quality development

 

No cash refunds will be issued. In the rare case of a validated health issue covered under this guarantee, a replacement rabbit may be offered at the breeder’s discretion.

8️⃣ Right to Refuse Sale

​

Hopes Rabbitry reserves the right to refuse a sale at any time for any reason.

 

Our priority is placing each rabbit in a safe, knowledgeable, and responsible home.

9️⃣ Rehoming / Return Policy

​

Hopes Rabbitry requires that any rabbit purchased from us must never be surrendered to a shelter, rescue, pet store, or rehomed without our knowledge.

 

If at any time the buyer can no longer keep their rabbit, Hopes Rabbitry must be contacted immediately.

 

We reserve the right of first refusal. This means the rabbit must be offered back to Hopes Rabbitry before being sold, given away, or transferred to another home.

 

Depending on circumstances:

 

• The rabbit may be returned to us.

• We may assist in helping find an approved new home.

• We may approve a private rehoming situation.

 

This policy is in place to ensure the lifelong safety and well-being of every rabbit bred at Hopes Rabbitry.

 

In the case you can no longer care, have time, or simply no longer want the bunny any longer a full refund of what you paid for the bunny will be given. Please note all transactions are kept note of. 

 

Failure to comply with this policy may result in denial of future purchases.

Please note you may be required to sign documentation agreeing to these policies at pickup to state knowledge of policies. We won't to add this these policies are in place for this safety and well-being of our bunnies.
